A silly drabble I wrote on the airplane. Enjoy, or something.

There was a reason he didn't like airports.

First off, Taemin thought, there was the utter self-sufficiency needed to navigate them. It wasn't that he couldn't, nor that he didn't have the skills necessary to; however, he vastly preferred not having to utilize them. It was just that he--

“There's no way to get around it,” Minho told him, smiling in that infuriatingly condescending way that he got whenever he was thinking something along the lines of oh-Taemin-you're-such-a-cute-child. “You're airport challenged.”

“Absolutely not,” Taemin said, ducking away before Minho could pat him on the head. “I can find my way around perfectly well.”

“You've flown from this airport how many times? Eight? Nine? And you still ask for help every fifty feet about which direction to go-”

“Sorry, what was that?”

“You brat! You're just pretending not to hear.”

“That,” Taemin said, pursing his lips, “is because you're always better off safe than sorry.”

He was always better off safe than sorry. However, it didn't solve the fact that Minho was right. He was directionally challenged, airport challenged, and the thought of having to check the time ever seven minutes to make sure he didn't need to board his plane yet made him want to vomit.

Not, Taemin thought as he shifted from foot to foot as he waited in line at the help desk to ask exactly where gate eighteen was supposed to be for the third time, that he would ever tell him that.

Le end.
