I finally got around to uh doing some advocacy. From my computer, granted, but well, it's a step in the right direction. On Equality California, they have a set up that allows you to send premade emails to government officials on different issues affecting the LGBTQI community today. Recently, the Obama administration wrote a brief defending DOMA

Done and sent. I agree, it may be a far-reaching wish, but there's no harm in trying. I hope it can make a difference.
