I still haven't seen the first Captain America movie, which I probably should before I even glance at any fic. (Unlike with Teen Wolf, I have absorbed approximately zero things about Captain America from popular culture. Well. Except for the obvious distasteful-to-me ra! ra! patriotism! deal with the name 'Captain America'. Ugh.)
One interesting/tragic datum: Jensen Ackles was supposedly THIS CLOSE to getting that role, the one that went to Chris Evans. In fact, supposedly the job was his -- only the CW wouldn't work with his scheduling on SPN to allow him to take the role. I think the CW and the studio that made the film are owned by the same entity, which made the CW's refusal kind of surprising

oohhh, you must see the first captain america movie. i actually just finished watching it again for the 232nd time and that combined with the new one, so many steve/bucky emotions. their backstory and friendship makes the new film just that much more explosive.
is that true? wow, i'd never even heard that. or maybe i did. i feel like i've seen captain america art with jensen's face now that i think about it. would have loved to have seen him in such a role... although with chris evans having filled the spot, i can no longer see it with anyone else. and how embarrassing is this, i actually dreamed of captain america last night. not in any specific way, and not even sexually, but i distinctly remember bucky being there too, and them giving each other ~eyes.
although i think jensen has a lot left in him, and hopefully we never ever have to go without seeing him once spn is wrapped up, porn is absolutely a valid career choice.
so basically this describes my feelings both during and after the movie. literally the minute i got home (at 11:00 pm on a school night i might add) i started writing bucky/steve fanfic. it's absolutely crap because it has no plot, just an explosion of mushy things made all the worse by tears and sleep-deprivation, but my point is that THIS PAIRING HAS ALREADY STARTED TAKING OVER MY LIFE AND I DON'T FIND THIS TO BE A BAD THING

i agree whole heartedly, this is my new obsession. i don't take on new obsessions easily, and i don't take them lightly. full throttle. ♥ i've been scouring for more steve/bucky stuff and there's a bunch of amazing art coming thru, i'm still waiting on fic. i have an idea for one myself, but i dunno if i can jump head first into a new fandom like that haha. gotta test the waters. but i'd love to read yours!
