I'm afraid to even turn on my desktop at home -- I have a suspicion it's going to putter out for good. I though about replacing the hard drive, but it's so old the processor would never be able to handle something even remotely new. Ah well. I hope your installation is easy and successful. : )

I can commiserate! Seems likethe past couple of weeks I've had to jump more technical hurdles over simple, silly stuff, I could just chuck it all into the Pacific.

As an example, I tried to comment to this from my Fire while sitting here in the airport. The Fire let me put the text in, but it WOULD. NOT. POST. THE. COMMENT.

So now I'm on my laptop. I had to jump some airport wi-fi hurdles there, too. One tab just said it coudln't connect OH NOES! Another tab took me to the airport "I Agree" page. So why didn't the other tab do that?

And the Kindle is being picky about CHARGING.

I swear.

Eh. It all begins with that seedy-looking guy hanging around the playground. "Come on, just a taste," he coaxes, "one little iTune can't hurt." Before you know it, you're mainlining all the tech you can glom and can't live without it. Until it all comes crashing down around you and the hard withdrawals start...
