No man could venture for breakfast without it still technically being nighttime, and avoid Gau's attention.

Anyone who couldn't make do on five hours of sleep a night just wasn't trying hard enough and really didn't care about the state of their housekeeping, after all.

But more than he'd like to admit, excessive housekeeping kept one in the house,a nd he kept whatever was on daytime television on as he folded excessive laundry at home.

So when Raikou came along in a Pikachu suit...

Well...

It was significantly more bulging-vein-worthy than even his roommate's infamous bunny suit exploits.

"I've made pastries for everyone, and-RAIKOU-SAN WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!."

(((OOC: Ahem. If nobody else is there first, be the tiebreaker for me, please? Catboy or sailor suit? ♥ XD Either way, I'd adore me some Raikou teasing in a reply back? *hopeful sick!puppy is hopeful*)))

Raikou looked up from his tea at the sound of Gau's voice. He smiled, not at the mention of pastries, or at Gau's sudden outburst of horror at his current outfit (he was used to it, really).

"Why, Gau, you look wonderful this morning," he said.

He nodded, approving of the cat-ear headband and the matching tail, the color of Gau's hair. The boots were a nice addition to the whole outfit. The whole costume (it could only be a costume, after all) could have used a little more work, but the overall effect suited Gau, tray of pastries and everything.

The comment just made Gau color and try to discreetly shift to keep the pants from riding up. Not that there was a good option the other way, either. He'd tried to take off the costume not once, but twice after all.

He looked away, red in the face. "Don't make fun of me." He managed to growl.

It would have been more threatening if Raikou didn't know Gau so well.

The tray of pastries gave him something to grip at least. Raikou was the last person he wanted to run into while dressed like something out of a bad manga. "I'm sure some people have to wear worse, so I'm making sure they don't have to leave their rooms if they don't want to." He glared, daring Raikou to make a comment, and at once, pleading with his eyes for him not to, shifting and trying to loosen the cord around his neck just a little.

"Did you...wake up like this, too?" he ventured cautiously, unable to look at Raikou. At least Raikou's costume, while garish and horrible, covered his skin. Gau felt very, very exposed, and ridiculous.

(((Poor boy. His mun's evil
... )

"I am not making fun of you," Raikou said, placing his cup on the saucer. "Just approving your brave choice of clothing for the day."

He got up from his seat at the table so he could walk around Gau, inspecting his new outfit. "I'll have to shake the hand of whoever convinced you to wear this," he nodded. It was so bold and daring, and something quite possibly from either Akihabara or Harajuku (possibly both), and unimaginable that Gau would ever put on such a thing.

Ah, but Gau asked a question. It made him think for a moment. "Yes, I woke up wearing this," Raikou replied, arms crossed and looking thoughtful. Perhaps it was an after-effect of the sweets?

Burt was among those caravan inhabitants lucky enough not to be stuck in some kind of costume lately. He hadn't tried giving any particular thought to why that was, more focused on just being grateful that it was so.

All things aside, taking a walk after making a brief quest for any form of coffee and coming across a guy in full on pokemon garb? Merited a doubletake.

Raikou, of course, did not see anything wrong with wearing costumes and the like. He has, after all, been known to have strange tastes in fashion and it did not bother him in the least.

He smiled at the newcomer, noting the obvious surprise. "Hello," he said, unperturbed.

"Hey," he replied automatically. He was really gonna have to get used to seeing things that weren't exactly ordinary, wasn't he?

Jeez.

"So, uh. Does everyone pick this spot for hanging out?"

"I'm not sure," Raikou tilted his head. He thought about it for a moment. "I'm pretty new, but I suppose... if you can ignore the giant's behind," he gestures to Grandore's posterior, which was quite on level with the Lookout. "It is a nice place."
