Gwen had been doing a bit of exploring--really the first chance she'd gotten since arriving. Between stopping at the last village, getting over a cold, whatever else, she'd really only seen the kitchens and her room in great detail.

And she'd been walking by a hallway that she had never gone down before, when she heard a familiar sort of sound and voice. Peeking into the room, her suspicions were confirmed when she saw Arthur training. It was odd to see him doing so while not in chainmail, but he was still the same, still good at it.

She didn't want to disturb him, though, so she didn't say anything. She'd just be on her way. In a moment or two. Yes.

Arthur didn't stop his movements when he heard footsteps approaching the room, but he did slow down. He supposed that it wouldn't be unusual for someone else to wish to use the room as well -- after all, he couldn't be the only warrior in here. The issue of space did pose a problem though, but perhaps the other person would be more accustomed to this type of thing than he was? If that was the case then Arthur would have no problem sharing the room.

When no footsteps continued in, however, he grew curious. Maybe the person hadn't come to train at all -- or maybe they too were unfamiliar with this sort of setting. With his eyes still closed, he finally halted with his back to the door. As he wiped some of the sweat off his brow, he called out, "You know, you don't have to just stand there."

Busted. She could just walk away and he'd be none the wiser, but really, she did have manners.

She stepped inside slowly, folding her arms awkwardly over her chest. She would just give her greetings and then be on her way. "I didn't want to disturb you," she said finally, biting her lip.

He stumbled a bit when he heard not a stranger's, but in fact Guinevere's voice come through the door. What was she doing here? Not that he minded, of course. It had been nice to be able to talk to her so openly and without fear of disapproval from others during the past few days.

He turned around slowly, stretching his arms as he did. "You know you don't have to worry about that, Guinevere. That is to say -- I was nearly done anyways."

It hadn’t been her intention to find Arthur. In fact, she’d just been doing another one of her rounds of the caravan, trying to orient herself as much as possible so as to feel less hopelessly lost. Today her wanderings had brought her to the third level, and just now to the training room itself.

She stepped inside confidently, pausing only to lament, not for the first time, the fact that she was without a weapon herself in this place. Of course, she hadn’t left Camelot under the best of circumstances, and even though she loved the finery she usually lived in, being on a traveling caravan in silk and jewels just seemed impractical.

Of course, that train of thought only lasted long enough for her to recognize Arthur and his familiar motions. She strutted towards him, lips pulling into a half-smile.

“Trying to acquire some skill?” she asked pointedly.

A figure watched him from behind for a moment, several things going through his mind. He was still annoyed at his recent humiliation by Kilgarrah, and the indignity of magic returning him to the age of a child. He had now made it back to normal, but he was still in a bad mood about it being used on him.

"I am glad to see that you are keeping up on your training." he said. "And to have finally made contact with you. I am extremely unhappy with this place and the repeated use of magic against me while I am trapped here."
