Weller was also extremely happy that this whole ordeal was over. While nothing all that bad had happened during the experience, there really is nothing more alarming than one's own body going through extremely rapid changes in a short amount of time. It had been panic-inducing on the way back to childhood and he'd been more or less just as alarmed as he started to age back up ( ... )

McNeill should have thought twice before barging into Weller's room like that, but he didn't. He frowned at Weller, looking rather apologetic. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." Yeah, with how stable-minded the two of them had been, it probably wasn't a good idea to just walk into his room.

At any rate, McNeill let himself into the room further, shifting the bag on his shoulder. He didn't like carrying things like this, but it was all he could do for now. Given he couldn't carry everything with one hand, anyway.

"It's no problem. I made sure to keep a good eye on your RIG," He offered a chuckle, stepping closer. "You need help getting it back in?" McNeill set the back down carefully onto the table, making sure not to let anything knock around in it.

Weller simply waved away McNeill's apology, shaking his head quickly. "Don't worry about it. Just didn't count on you showing up." Which should have been some indication as to how disoriented he still was from the whole ordeal. It was a little ridiculous how dizzy he felt being back to his normal size ( ... )

"Yeah, cos I wasn't going to come check on you after all of that mess," McNeill replied dryly, giving Weller a look. That look soon turned to one of slight disbelief at Weller's next words, but McNeill recovered with a laugh. "Not even worth the pocket change I'd make for it. But, it's your lucky day."

In any case, McNeill shook his head. "Yeah, right. I wouldn't have been a very responsible adult if I let you run off with your pistol, Gabe. And I've got a reputation to upkeep here." Not that Weller didn't. Said reputation was probably pretty well tarnished after what happened. Everyone got to see how harmless he really was.

"Anyway, let's get this done, yeah?" McNeill didn't know how much help he'd be with only one hand, but it was better than having Weller fool around with it by himself.

The words you didn't need to didn't even make it up his throat. It was useless to even try telling McNeill that his over-concern for his well-fare was a bit pointless. Of course McNeill's motherhenning usually received justification considering how many times he'd been injured in battle only to have him come running to save him.

The universe had a strange sense of humor that way. "I was a perfectly responsible 8 year old, Nate. More responsible than most of the 'adults' on this caravan. But I suppose better you than that obnoxious Grif character." And he'd been just as irritating when Weller was a kid, which spoke volumes for him.

"Right. Let's do it." He hadn't bothered to put his jacket back on, so at least there'd be less in the way while they did this- not that it wasn't designed to let the RIG pass through it. He picked up the RIG again and situated it behind himself, glancing back over his shoulder as he held it in the correct general area. "Just line it up and I can probably secure it." Probably.
