Ichigo, for the most part, was just happy that there was finally someone with medical knowledge on the caravan who didn't sound like a complete asshole. It wasn't really easy to take care of someone who was sick when they didn't have the basics they were used to, much less when the guy claiming to be a doctor wasn't a lot of help.

So Keigo could grump and gripe all he wanted, Ichigo was in a relatively good mood all things considered. "It'll be over soon enough. She said it only takes a day or two for the shot to kick in." He replied just as needlessly since Keigo had certainly heard her explain it all.

The shivering reminded him, though, that Keigo had set down his blanket when he'd gone to get the shot. A quick glance revealed it was on a chair nearby and he retrieved it, offering it over before he moved for the door. "You should get back in bed though until it starts working. You hungry at all?" While they were down on this level it would be easier to grab something now then to come back down later, anyway.

"I hope so..." He supplied with a raspy wheeze. He couldn't remember the last time he was this ill. He thought he had a rather decent immune system, but he should have known that breathing in water was going to have an adverse affect on his body. Whatever.

Keigo watched as Ichigo walked off momentarily, watching him with hazy eyes. Oh. There was his blanket. He looked at Ichigo as he came back and offered it to him, then smiled. It wasn't as bright as his usual grins, but at least it was there at all. "Thanks, Ichigo." And with that, he slung the blanket around himself, sighing.

The mention of food and bed and all that crap made Keigo scowl. Ugh, yeah, being sick sucked. "I dunno. I guess I could try eating..." Not that he really wanted to, but he really couldn't stand to lose any more weight.

"No problem." He replied easily, still rather pleased that things were finally taking a turn for the better. It wasn't like anything had been going right lately, so it was a nice change.

The unhappy face at his suggestions, though, made him frown. "You're going to have to eat something if you want to get better. I think there's more broth in the kitchen, we can just grab some to go." He doubted Keigo's stomach really wanted to handle anything else yet, but he assumed he'd say something if that changed. It's not like anyone really enjoyed eating nothing but soup stock all day.

So he started towards the kitchen, assuming Keigo would follow. "How's your side feeling anyway?" Ichigo asked, realizing he hadn't in a while.

"Ughhhhhhhhhhh........." Keigo just continued to make faces at Ichigo, though really, he couldn't blame him for the lack of stuff to do. Or eat, for that matter. Any more broth, though, and he felt as though he'd explode. "I never want to have soup or broth or whatever ever again." He replied emphatically. It was like he was six again and refusing to take his cold medicine.

Regardless, he followed after Ichigo, shuffling along the floor in a mixture of sulkiness and general aching. His whole body hurt, after all.

--And Ichigo had to point out another thing that had been bothering him. Keigo blinked and looked up at him, almost as if he had forgotten entirely about the idea of food. "Oh. Uh. It's really sore, still. He didn't..... get me that bad, but it's still pretty nasty." He coughed, groaning directly afterward. Fuck, his chest felt like it was going to collapse.

Ichigo snorted lightly at Keigo's obvious disgust, though it was pretty understandable. But if Keigo had been able to keep anything else down, Ichigo would have already gotten it for him, if only to stop him from complaining about it.

But very little seemed to deter Keigo from complaining once he got his mind set on it, and Ichigo rolled his eyes at his whining. "Yeah well, you'll have to suck it up until you're done being sick. Unless you really feel up for trying solid foods again." Ichigo glanced over at him, eyebrow raised in question.

He somehow doubted he'd get a yes to that.

His other answer, though, that was something to worry about. "We need more bandages for it or is it still clean?" Ichigo wondered while he made a mental note to find more pain killers.

Ichigo was right; Keigo didn't even entertain the thought of solid foods and mentioning it was a poor suggestion, even sarcastically. "Hngh..." He just rolled his shoulders and held the blanket around himself tighter.

"Aaa, it'd probably be a good idea to change the bandages out again." He hadn't been bleeding out that much anymore, but he was also paranoid about getting infected. The last thing he needed was something like gangrene while he was already sick.

"Mmn... though, I wonder.. if I have any more bandages in my room..." He tried to stockpile supplies after he got out of the water, but that stopped short when he started getting ill.
