If anything, she didn't feel that anyone could claim that this place didn't keep them busy. The first few days of their journey had been busy, in their way, but it was a different sort of busy. Diana didn't necessarily mind the quests and rescue parties they had gone out on, but she did miss her chances to speak with other travelers and get to know them at least a little. Their safety and well-being was important to her, even if they barely knew each other.

The girl didn't particularly stand out, since Diana wasn't aware yet that they had met at the masquerade, but her eyes on the ground still drew her attention. Diana closed the distance between them on the ramp, speaking warmly as she drew closer.

"Are you well, traveler? I hope that the water did not disagree with you too badly."

So close, so close to being able to skitter up the stairs and out of sight of the crowd, it was amazing she could avoid anyone for even this long. It was only a matter of time however, as she watched the ground in front of her (mostly focusing on her own steps) another pair of feet stepped in to impede her path. The girl stopped short, a slight... sloshing sound from her cardigan? Nill looked startled, clutching the bundle tight to her chest as she glanced up to Diana.

It took a moment for Nill to process the question, so concentrated on her last task she had to snap out of it. Not only that but her voice seemed so familiar, she just couldn't quite place it... The girl nodded hurriedly, as if to make up for being so out of it. Shifting her weight and clutching the bundle in one arm she pointed up to Diana as if to ask her name.

She heard the sloshing from within the cardigan, and a smile came to her face. That was why her steps seemed to be so careful. The girl had picked up a friend from the mermaids, she assumed, but couldn't help but wonder what kind. There had been many kinds of creatures in the water, some that she had never seen before. (And, idly, she had wondered if Arthur would have had any trouble speaking to them.)

But the silence reminded her of the mysterious and quiet person she had met at the masquerade. She had suspected that it was a girl from the body language them, but the confirmation of that was a relief. She understood the motion, however, and spoke.

"I am Diana," she said warmly, "It seems that you are having some trouble with your 'cardigan.' Would you like help carrying it to your room?"

Nill smiled nervously as she was caught, shaking her head to indicate she could handle it. It seemed her plan had worked in reverse, but she was surprised she wasn't being reprimanded for attempting to sneak the fish on board.

Checking to make sure they weren't being watched she hesitantly unwrapped her cardigan from the bowl. It look like it was pulled out of a mermaid's garbage with a chipped lip and discoloration on the body. The fish itself was a bright copper color, almost like a miniature koi... with a third eye on the top of it's head. She had a soft spot for mutants like herself, even if it paid her no mind as it slowly turned in circles about the pot.

Glancing back up at Diana with the smallest of frowns she clearly wasn't sure what to do now that her secret was out.
