Bonnie was very pleased with this turn of events. In fact, she couldn't think of a single possible thing that was cooler than a vampire mermaid. She had spent a good amount of time preening over her new tail--the color, Bonnie had decided, was emerald green, and it was just as shiny--and pretending to be Ariel from that new Disney movie.

She'd learned how to maneuver the tail quickly enough and was now speedily making her way around the mer-city, humming a cheerful song--and that was when she spotted him: Arthur, as grumpy a merman as she could ever imagine seeing. Well! It was a very lucky thing that Bonnie hadn't cashed in on their date yet. "Yoo hoo!" she called out, swimming over to him. "What are you trying to do over there?"

Arthur was less than enthused. He couldnt even get a good look at his own tail without inadvertently ending up doing somersaults in the water - and he forced his body to stop tipping as he heard her call. He froze, arms pushed out on either side of him as he swung his head over to gaze at the source, before slowly maneuvering himself upright, arms hanging limply at his sides. Right, it was that girl - Bonnie. He'd been meaning to get into contact with her. The appearance of Mal had almost wiped his mind clean of all of his other endeavors, but the flash of red hair turned his thoughts, briefly, onto Peck.

"Hey," he greeted. "... Nothing."

His greeting was less than enthusiastic, but Bonnie was determined to make the man a bit more cheerful. Happiness, she decided, must have been sacred to the ancient druids.

"Bonnie," she reminded him--just in case he had forgotten--as she swam up close. "Your tail looks very nice!" she complimented, circling around him to examine the new appendage. "You make a very handsome merman."

She flicked her tail back and forth, hoping to draw a return compliment--though, from what she had seen of Arthur, it seemed unlikely. "Did you forget about our arrangement?" she asked innocently, tilting her head to the side as she examined him.

He glanced down at his new appendage again, brow furrowing briefly. It was black, but shone different colors depending on the way the light struck it and was, overall, strange and foreign to him. He wasn't really sure how she was managing to maneuver around so efficiently. He felt less than graceful with this thing. "Thank you," he responded haltingly, head turning to follow her movements as she circled him until he had to turn his body to keep his eyes on her.

Arrangement? Right. That date. "We're not near the caravan," he pointed out. He hardly felt appropriately dressed for a date, but information was information. "I guess we can just swim around."
