Diana had been collecting final supplies in the village. Since it was abandoned, there was little harm in taking what she could, since it was completely unknown just when they would stop again in a place where supplies could easily be taken. She had made a sack out of old burlap she had found and filled it with anything useful that she could find. Cloth, thread, bottles, even wood--she wouldn't allow herself to waste any chances.

The burlap bag was full and heavy on her back, but as she exited the last building she planned to look into, movement out of the forest caught her eye. She stared for a moment as the figure came out, but from the way he stumbled, she realized he was injured.

She didn't bother to call out, but trotted closer quickly, trying to keep her bag evenly placed on her shoulders.

"Traveler, are you injured? If you are one of the Caravan, we should return there soon."

Through the haze that the sudden spike in pain had put his body in, Arthur could make out the sound of footsteps coming closer. Maybe the village wasn't nearly as abandoned as he'd initially thought. That was good, he supposed. He placed his hands on his knees as he tried to steady himself and peered up to see just who was making their way towards him.

It was a bit of a surprise to see a woman, especially one dressed as oddly as she was. Perhaps he truly was on another world. He could see her mouth moving as she spoke to him and had to shake his head to clear it before he caught the end of that sentence. The voice sounded familiar, but he couldn't pinpoint it.

"You're from the Caravan?" he asked.

Diana, on the other hand, recognized the voice instantly. She moved closer, offering her shoulder to support him and help him back.

"I am, Arthur. We spoke earlier, do you remember?"

Her hands were gentle, as to reassure him that she was not a threat, since he seemed out of sorts. But even though they were gentle, they were still well-muscled, just as one would expect from a warrior princess.

He stiffened a bit, not rejecting her help but not welcoming it either. The touch was simply unfamiliar and while he realized he was in need of help, Arthur was still wary of this strange place he'd ended up in. When she spoke however, his mind took him back to the conversations he'd had using the magical box and he nodded slowly.

"You're the princess," he said, realization dawning on him. "Diana, was it?"

Now that he'd recognized who she was, his posture loosened and he (though he'd never admit it later) allowed himself to lean against her for support. Her hands were unlike any princesses he'd known, barring Morgana, and in the back of his mind he wondered just what exactly her kingdom was like.
