Date & Time: Day 6, Afternoon

Summary: After Sasuke had heard the prisoners were released he goes towards the cellss to see if Itachi really is there

By this point Itachi was very grumpy. First, he was dead. Except he wasn't. Second, he was pretty sure he was blind. It had been hard to tell in the beginning, as the cells were pretty dark, but by this point he could tell that nothing was coming into focus quite right. Lastly, he had been just about to step out of his cell into the castle before he found himself face to face with his little brother.

The same little brother who was the reason he was dead. Handling Sasuke was usually no problem for him in the past, all he had to do was speak a few choice words and watch how fast the anger built up. But this was different, Sasuke had already beat him. He looked older and somehow different and Itachi found himself wishing he could focus on his face. Being unable to read his expression was almost painful to him.

"Sasuke."

Sasuke was just about to start looking for his brother within the vicinity of the cells when the minute he nears of of them, he sees his brother step out standing directly in front of from him. It almost felt like he was seeing things despite the fact that wasn't the case.

He was literally frozen to the spot from shock when he heard his brother say his name, while being at a complete loss of what to say or react. Sasuke didn't think he would find him in the first place given how there was no logical explanation why he was there and seemingly alive; however there was no mistaking it was Itachi.

"So you really are here..."

He had already heard that voice over the communicator earlier, but that somehow didn't make the shock of hearing it now any less. That coupled with the fact that Sasuke was standing right in front of him was almost enough to snap Itachi out of the haze he was in. Almost. He couldn't-- wouldn't-- let go of the idea that he was dead. He was definitely dead and Sasuke being here meant he was in some kind of hell.

But he was still curious. So, speaking around the ever-growing lump in his throat, he willed his voice to not shake and threw on his usual expression of contempt.

"I did not expect you to be here either."

There was a bit of silence as he just stared at his brother for a few moments. He was in just as much shock over this especially since there was no logical explanation for this at all.

There were so many things he wanted to say, yet he was at a complete loss for words, not sure what to even begin saying to his brother. It took all he had to somehow something calmly in response to keep his emotions in check for the time being.

"The situation proves otherwise. It isn't known how we were brought here..."
