Now to find Jaime. The area wasn't packed, exactly, but there were still sizeable groups gathering that she had to skirt around whilst searching each for a 'confused mexican kid', as well as Teddy, Billy and Tommy, who also should have been somewhere nearby. Three groups and one narrow miss from an unobservant passer-by later, and she'd managed to locate someone who at least matched the description.
And he was looking the wrong way.
"Hey!" She waved, standing on her tiptoes to give herself all of another centimetre or two of height. "Jaime? It's Cassie!"

"You weren't kidding," he observed wryly, "Any idea why you can't change back?" He took a few steps into a side street so that they could speak without being disturbed. Or unobtrusively eavesdropped on.

Once they were safely out of earshot of the majority of the others milling around in the street, she got to her feet and rested one hand on her hip in what she hoped was an authoritative gesture. "Yours aren't working either, right?"

"I'm not a very good liar." He laughed nervously. "And my powers aren't really mine, they come from--" He goes silent and waves his free hand as if hearing someone else speak.
"I know, I know! I'm getting to you. Sheesh." He sighed and shook his head.
"Anyway. They come from Khaji Da. The scarab. He's basically an alien bug robot that's grafted to my spine. He lets me do..." He paused again as alien armor suddenly encased the young man.

"Ah, hi Miss Diana. I'm Jaime, I talked to you on the phone-thing? You might know me a bit better as Blue Beetle." Keep cool, Jaime. It's not like she's gonna bite your head off like Bats or punch you into the nearest pile of large rocks like Guy.
Right?

"She really is like Thor," she muttered to her current perch, unsure how good their newest member's hearing was. "I'm not the only one who feels a little outclassed, right?"

He raised a hand in an awkward greetingy sort of way. "Uhm, hi, I'm, uh -- I'm Wiccan. Usually. When I've got more, uh ..." When he wasn't wearing jeans and a t-shirt. When his magic actually worked. When he wasn't trailing off into awkward silence.
