No, Nero was hanging around the laundry room for about the same reason he'd been hanging around the kitchen, only this time he wasn't waiting for them to leave food over--he was waiting for them to toss a load in and start washing. And then, he'd just saunter by, and say something like how he only had this jacket and didn't want to waste the space in the basins, so could he just toss this one jacket in with the rest of their stuff? It was getting kinda dirty and he didn't think it was badass to smellIt wasn't like he could do it ( ... )

nero shook it off, full-bodied, physical and mental at the same time, shrugging his shoulders as he stepped into the room.
"Looks like you're doing some laundry," he said, nodding at the clothes in the sink. Well, not a sink, but close enough to. Sure wasn't a convenient system, now was it? And where were they supposed to hang the clothes out to dry--tied to the giant's ass or something? "There room in there for something else? Just one thing... Wouldn't wanna use up a whole sink-thing for just one jacket."

Her eyes widening slightly, Emma clutched the edges of the basin behind her, holding on to the thing like it held the answer to life. But then she realized she'd already broken one of Lightning's rules--no hesitation! Biting her lip, she forced herself to let go and tried to stand up a little straighter. That was how you made yourself dominant, right?
"I, I am," she agreed, nodding. "I mean, laundry rooms are for, you know, laundry, a-and I have laundry, so...yeah. Um." She nodded once more for good measure. "That's what I'm doing. I think my tub's a little too full to fit something else, so maybe you should, um. You should try another one."
For what probably seemed like no reason to to Nero, Emma burst into a smile. That was great! That was nice and assertive without being too mean (she thought so, at least). And she said maybe only once. Even if that hair of his was really distracting her, and her basin wasn't that full, she'd stood up for her right to her own washing space ( ... )

It wasn't necessarily that Conrad was one of those trendwhores-- no, he just liked his clothes, and liked them the way they were. And the variety of them. He'd thought that maybe, just maybe, more of his wardrobe, or at least maybe a damn suitcase would pop up in his room, but no such luck. It seemed whoever saw fit to throw him here was a dick and hadn't thought to include necessities like toiletries and clothing changes. Fantastic. He wished he'd seen fit to buy some replacements back at that village thing, but as for now, he only had the clothes he'd been wearing ( ... )

Something that she wasn't going to do alone, however.
As she was grabbing a box of washing soap, the door closing behind her made her freeze. Her eyes momentarily widened and she turned, looking just about as dismayed to see Conrad as he probably was to see her. She then steeled herself, the "move on instinct" rule floating through her head. Instinct was saying "move back over to the basin," and she did so quickly, hoping she projected some form of control over her area.
"Hi," she greeted, looking more awkward than controlling, most likely because the box of soap in her hands was shaking a bit. So much for assertiveness.

A quiet groan, and really, he had no idea what he was going to do. Option A: be an assertive dick and tell her that he needs the entire washroom? Or option B: try and find somewhere behind the basins that he could hide, so she wouldn't think him some kind of weirdo?
...okay no seriously what was he going to do.
Conrad scratched at the back of his neck in lieu of an actually helpful response, ended up giving her an awkward sort of grin. "Er.. Hi." And he glanced around the room, trying to ( ... )

He glanced up as he entered the laundry room, watching the woman curiously for a minute. The curiosity only grew with the jumpiness, and concern began to move in. So, being the nice person he is, Sora walked over, smiling at her.
"Are you having trouble with a basin?"
