From all that had happened, Sakura felt a little bit like a zombie. Not to the point of hallucinating things, although she had to wonder sometimes, but to the very least she thought she might be daydreaming without realizing it. There were still people around, some of whom she recognized with a faint hi or hello as they went on their way, sorting their own lives and problems out.

They all shared the same problem, anyway. At least the biggest. How to get home.

But most thoughts pertaining to such an upsetting question flew out of her mind as she rounded a corner, and had a... Lion. Fall into her direct line of sight. It wasn't a rarity to see large animals, especially in her world, but.. Normally, unless they were wild, they had some sort of clothing on them. A testament to their partners within the Shinobi world. This was... Naked, as odd as it sounded.

So it was wild. And probably not even from her world and oh my god it was a lion. Get in the van.

Well, speaking of which...

Scar had been approaching what was a corner, until someone had rounded said corner and naturally walked straight into his field of vision. Another one of those two-legged monkeys. Apparently, he hadn't seen enough of them already during his brief stay here.

Oh, goody. At this rate, he might even lose count.

A moment passed, with the lion being on the receiving end of a stare. At the very least, it was reason enough to speak up. He even tried to be at least a little polite, as it wouldn't quite do to needlessly antagonize these... creatures.

"Is there anything the matter? I hear staring is rather rude." Despite his best efforts, he couldn't completely erase the annoyance seeping through his voice. Well, one could hardly blame him for making at least a little effort...

Now, to be fair, Sakura was used to talking animals. Sure it had been a bit of a shock when she'd met Pakkun for the first time a few years ago, but since then she'd come to realize that a lot of animals could speak. Mainly summoned ones, but on the occasion wild ones could too. They were much more intelligent than regular animals, too.

But alas, when Scar started to speak, it still made her start. Just a little.

"Ah-- Sorry." A little bow. "I just.. have never seen.. um." Wow Sakura, way to speculate. You know how to be sensitive, of course you do!

Scar had noticed the little start, as if the fact that he had just said something was more alarming than a lion walking through the area. Talking was a normal thing where he came from (aside from certain slobbering hyenas, but Ed was...well...Ed), a means for communication amongst one another -- if they weren't too thick-headed to misunderstand. The possibility that being able to form words being a rather strange thing for his species hadn't even so much as crossed his mind.

"...a lion, by any chance?" he said, nonchalantly finishing the spoken sentence. He supposed it wasn't too surprising, considering he had never seen these two-legged creatures before either.

They were all pretty much in the same boat. Lost, confused, possibly frightened or frustrated about the situation that they all shared. Kanji had received instruction from his senpai to send a message out looking for their missing friends, to confirm whether or not they were here, too ( ... )

Ah, another lovely example of these two-legged creatures happened to be turning a corner. Apparently, the lion was a sight to behold in the middle of this area, as this one saw fit to approach him cautiously. Well, Scar could hardly blame the poor creature; after all, a lion possessed fangs and claws. These creatures obviously did not.

It briefly made him wonder where these creatures would belong on the food chain, for that matter. Well, it hardly mattered...

For now, Scar simply remained seated on the ground, his green eyes watching the creature approach for now, wondering what it would do.

Perhaps this could actually prove to be entertaining...

It was a good sign that the lion wasn't lunging at him, so Kanji kept on getting closer. Although it wielded fangs and claws, it didn't seem vicious at all. It just sat there, and in fact, it felt almost civilized.

"Yo," said Kanji, as if the beast could understand him.

So it said hello. More or less.

In the mean time, it kept on coming closer. "Good morning," he answered casually. Considering his last exchange with these creatures had earned him a startled reaction, he wondered how this one would respond. "Or as good as it would be, considering these happy circumstances."
