Lightning had been reluctant to enter the caravan at all but it seemed that being on the move was better than staying behind in the village, waiting like a sitting duck open for any sort of dangerous situation. At least if she was on the caravan, the danger would come at her on her own terms, in a place she would be surrounded in. And while half the population of the people she met seemed to take this for a game, she couldn't deny that there was safety in numbers.

Besides, if worse came to worst? A rebellion of sorts would be easier if she had an easy access to a group of individuals at once.

She let her eyes scan the perimeter of the lobby floor, taking in floor plans while remembering her room number and the name of her roommate. She briskly beelined for the stairs after plotting them out in the back of her mind when she almost stepped on a girl sitting on the staircase. She cursed under her breath as she corrected her footing and gave the other woman a look.

"Staircases are meant for walking, not sitting."

To be perfectly honest, if Lightning hadn't spoken up, Sakura might not have even noticed her pass by. Though if they did have a collision course it might be a little easier to realize someone else was around. She was just... so lost in her thoughts. Which wasn't really a good thing either.

When Lightning did speak however, Sakura didn't even budge. She just sort of turned to look at the woman, eyes glazed for less than a blink, and suddenly she was back again.

"I'm not taking up that much room." The staircase was wide, and while normally Sakura would jump to get out of the way, she just.. didn't feel like it right now. She was tired.

"Just because you can sit on the stairs doesn't mean you should."

She raised an eyebrow at her, noting the distracted look in her eyes before she crossed her arms over her chest and spoke again.

"...and what are you doing anyways?"

There might have been a hint of suspicion tracing through the question, but it's not like it went unwarranted. Sure she could have just been daydreaming but on a staircase of all places? Maybe she had just discovered something about their little journey, or the caravan, or maybe even Cid Amon himself. It was a lot to ask for but she wasn't the type to pass up an oppurtunity.

Finally, something clicked. Sakura's eyes gained that little bit of life back in them, and she scooted over and made an attempt to stand. Or crouch at least. She didn't really want to get up just yet, she'd been comfortable. And sleepy.

"Sorry." What was she doing? Mulling, mostly. Yes, a lot about this Cid Amon, his most recent messages and a lot of the reactions. About how not just people from different worlds were here, but different times as well. And a lot about a certain ex-Teammate of hers. But not a lot of the last one.

"Thinking about ... our predicament." Pause, and she glanced up at Lightning, idly wondering if her hair was a natural color or not. "Have you noticed that ... Aside from the whole 'different worlds' thing, there's ... People here from the past and future as well? From the same world, I mean. I don't know if it's common or normal, but..." Another pause. "I was thinking about it."

Sakura wouldn't be zoned out for long. Anathema had grudgingly arrived at the caravan after Cid's little announcement telling them all to move their arses, but it hadn't been long after that she found her curiosity piqued and began exploring everything she could. As much as she hated to admit it, she was almost starting to look forward to their journey to....where ever it was.

Unfortunately, in her rush back up the stairs she lost her footing, slipped, lost her bag, cursed, and quickly tried to follow after it. "Er, look out down there!"

Well she was a little more awake than she had been about ten minutes ago. At least enough to hear the voice hollaring down to where she sat at the bottom of the stairs. It wasn't like she was really taking up much space but--

Turning around, she managed to do so just in time to have a face full of bag. Or well, catch a face full of bag, yelping all the while. At least it didn't knock her off balance. Even if she would have only fallen maybe three stairs down.

"Uh..! It's okay, I caught it?" She tried, peeking out from behind the bag at the woman. Didn't recognize the face, nor the voice. None the less, Sakura stood, holding the bag out for the woman. "Careful.. The stairs are slippery, I guess." And a hesitant smile. She'd had her share of jerks today, so she only hoped this one wouldn't be so bad.

"I'm so sorry," Anathema replied, still taking the steps two at a time until she reached the....pink-haired girl? Definitely not a very common color, but thankfully she kept her staring brief and took the bag back gratefully. "I suppose I wasn't really paying attention." And she was obviously going to need to find better footwear than bedroom slippers at some point.

But first! Was everything still in its place? Notebooks, pouches, bread knife....all there. Thank God, she wasn't sure she could deal with losing something else during this trip. She hefted the back over her shoulder as she continued. "Thank you, though, miss....?"

Sakura's smile widened a little as the woman bounded down the stairs, taking a small note of her slippers. Ready for bed already? But she waited, patiently as the girl rummaged through her bag, probably making sure nothing had broken or something. She didn't think anything had, but you never know.

"Oh-- Sakura. Just Sakura is fine, I'm glad I caught it. Nothing breakable in there though, I hope? Er.. I hope nothing did break?"
