[ Maya's looked over the information -- what little of it there is -- on the junogam, but any reporter worth her salt knows that the best way to get information is to go out there and get it the old-fashioned way.

Unfortunately for her, chatting up the populace isn't getting her much more than she's already heard. Who's she going to ask next? MAYBE IT'S YOU.]

[ adachi stops - whoa, is a pretty girl talking to him? a pretty, normal looking, not-injured girl? he gives her that awkward smile while vaguely wondering what the hell she's so cheerful about. ]

Probably not any more than you, miss. Did you check your little thingy?

[ he takes the junogam out of his pocket and holds it out to her. ]

I did! But I think we've all got about a million questions, and the info there seems like it's still on about...number five. [ laughs ] I was hoping I'd have a little more luck out here, but it doesn't seem to be going much better...oh well, gotta think positive, right?

[ there's a pause of consideration, and he offers her his hand to shake. ]

Detective Adachi here. ...But 'Adachi' will do just fine.

[ Nodoka wanders into the lobby of an inn she has stumbled across warily, just in case there is something or someone she doesn't want to see resting in there. Thankfully, there isn't, so she takes the time to look around and attempt to relax. It's not entirely successful.

Rather than looking at all at peace with being in this place, she's visibly shaken - and literally shaken. Her eyes are wide and she looks scared, her hands shaking at her side as she walks forward, trying not to jump at anyone she sees. First and foremost in her mind is finding her teacher - she did it before, she can do it again. She's also suffering from embarrassment as well as fear - her one beautiful ballgown is torn up and ruined, hanging around her knees in scraps. Nodoka had no idea what people were going to think of her. ]

[ Now if he was the only one placed in a situation like this, he wouldn't be as upbeat as he was right now. After all, being around (interesting) people was something he enjoyed and although he never made any friends or gotten emotionally attached to humans in general, it was better than nothing.

However, he didn't really expect to spot someone with a rather . . . unique wardrobe. She didn't look like the type of person he would bother to approach. He was quite sure there were others who may be similar to her in many aspects, but it never hurt to meet new people and to toy with them while he was at it. ]

[ Nodoka jumped, turning around and flushing as she spotted the man talking to her. She wished she could change her clothes - if people were all going to react this way she knew she would be too embarrassed to speak. ]

Ah, n-no... I had a bit of trouble, that's all.

[ Seeing her like this, visually fragile and obviously shaken, is a big concern to Kanji. Although he's never seen her before in his life, something about her calls to him, and he approaches her with caution, not wanting to scare her off. ]

H-hey, you alright?

[Thinks this is maybe the hotel he woke up in. It LOOKS familiar. Walks into the lobby, hands in his pockets, and looks around.]

[ Izaya may or may not have noticed him and is walking in a completely different direction. Figured the protozoa he would be here when he didn't want him to be. ]

[HAS NOT NOTICED THE FLEA, but for some reason his expression darkens ANYWAY]

[....glares a bit, then stomps toward the stairs to look for his room.]

[ In the process of looking for more information amongst the sea of people, he accidentally steps on Shizuo's foot. Whoops. Luckily, he didn't put too much weight on it. ]

Ah, my apologies. It's very crowded here.

People here seemed friendly enough. As far as villages went it reminded her a lot of her own back on Pulse. Still it was all a bit much to take in and Vanille was only able to do so much exploring before she sought a place to rest. After asking one of the odd looking locals she'd skipped cheerfully in the direction they had pointed her towards. She didn't notice it was an inn as she entered. She paused in the doorway, searching the lobby. Nope, no one familiar here either.

Hands on her hips, Vanille pouted. "This won't do at all."

Vanille blinked, glancing towards the girl who had addressed her. She cocked her head to one side, tapping her finger thoughtfully against her chin. "Nope, not a clue."

She frowned. "I was looking for my friends, but I don't think they're here. Also I'm a little lost. You too?"
