I was enrolled in public school until the end of my freshman year of high school. I began to beg my parents to let me homeschool in 6th or 7th grade. Finally, just in time for sophomore year, my mother consented. I started going to community college in addition to being homeschooled during my junior year of high school.
Technically, I am now a freshman in college, but I already have 45 college credits under my belt. My plan is to continue in community college until I get my associates degree in liberal arts (expected spring 2009) and then transfer to a four-year.
Homeschooling was one of the best decisions of my life. If I rear children someday, I quite possibly will homeschool them.
