I've started packing for my move this Saturday (I'm moving to an apartment that is 2 miles from work in Fairfax). I have far too much crap. I could never be a nomad, that's for sure. Just my CDs, DVDs, and books alone would kill a camel ( Read more... )

Good luck with the packing! I'm doing the same. I've got 5 weeks to move, and still looking for a place. We looked at a cute apartment last night that was very cheap. Tonight, we're looking at a condo, tomorrow is another apartment, as well as Thursday which is a second floor of a farmhouse not far from here. One of these has to be my new home LOL!

I don't think I could be a nomad, either. The books, cds, and dvds are the bulk of my possessions as well. They're staring me down as I sit here procrastinating. WHY WON'T THE BOXES JUST UNPACK THEMSELVES?!

You can keep them in the boxes and be faux-nomadic.

Good idea. Who needs furniture, anyhow? I can just arrange the boxes in to a fort and pretend I'm 5. And then I can make them in to a coffee table, end tables, and night stands.

It's totally free, too.

Don't laugh, but I'm actually going to use my two eMac boxes for tables. I'm going to cover them with a cheap navy blue twin sheet. No one will be the wiser, MUHAHAHAHAHA!
