Apologies for this not being about distilling, but doodlemaier's account is suddenly listed as deleted. I rather liked the fellow (and met him in this community, hence the posting here), anyone know what happened to him?

I don't know all the details, but the gist of it is that he said something, uh, impolite on his blog, and came to the conclusion that his, uh, free habits of speech made keeping a blog, uh, problematic, and decided to stop blogging.

Hey, I left him a comment on his dreamwidth blog, but if you happen to see this first, I'm in NYC for the weekend considering renting a car and ranging far and wide -- I know you guys are in the Shenandoah Valley and it looks like that's not further than I've been known to drive on a whim. Was wondering if you guys would be interested at all in letting me crash on your couch for a night and seeing your bees / still?
