Author's Note: This is my first chaptered fic :'D ok so obviously this is still in the making, and the details might change when i get a perfectly clear idea on how this story will go. tis just an idea and a prologue so far. also that'd be cool if someone could make me a banner for it.
Dear Mr. Kim Jaejoong,
The Republic of Korean Armed Forces would like to inform you that you military service will begin on 7/20/52. Your participation is not optional unless you have a serious medical condition that needs to be brought to our attention right away. All men in service will be given a thorough medical exam to verify any conditions that may excuse you from service. You must also inform us ahead of time of your allergies to any medication or any medication that you are currently taking. The medical form is attached to this letter and must be filled out completely.
If you choose not to partake in your military service, you will be found and be sentenced to time in jail and fined with the sentence chosen by the court of law. You are to report to Makimi Station at no later than 4:15PM and board the 4:20 train to you designated training camp.
You are to only being one small bag with you which will be searched and any items will be taken into custody if need be. The list of things that you must bring with you is also attached to this letter.
Your camp number is 409 and you will be in Res. A with Soryeong Jung Yunho as your commanding officer. There will be no switches or reassigning unless your Jungnyeong sees fit to do so and has a reasonable explanation. You will be staying at your camp for no less than two months and no longer than six months with the length of your stay determined by how effective your training has been.
More information will be given to you when you arrive at your camp.

Jaejoong scanned over the piece of paper he was clutching on to in fear for the third time, still in disbelief that the time had finally come. He knew that every man in Korea had to serve in the military at some point in time, especially now that a civil war had broken out against the northern regions, but always hoped that somehow he could slip through the cracks in the system. The letter was slightly trembling in his feeble grip and eventually slipped from his fingers.
“Jaejoong Hyung, what’s wrong? Oh! You got the mail!” Jaejoong’s twin brother picked up the remaining stack of envelopes and rummaged through until he saw one with his name printed on the front. He tore open the letter without a second’s hesitation and scanned over the words, his smile gradually slipping into a frown. “Hyung… is this real?” the boy asked with fear present in his eyes.
Jaejoong couldn’t tear his eyes away from the letter his brother held that was identical to the one that he just let flutter to the floor.
A/N: yes! it's short, but the actual chapters will be longer. i just wanted to see how the idea would go over with everybody sooo yeah :]
