I dropped some people from my LJ flist who either crosspost from DW or who haven't updated in over a year or who I don't really talk with anymore. I'm very very close to deleting my LJ; I only crosspost about half my entries these days, the majority of my community is on Dreamwidth, and I hate LJ's user relations attitude with a violent passion. not a problem. I've thought about doing that. For the near term, I've just got a reading list that *doesn't* include the folks that post over there too.

I could do that if it were just about avoiding redundancy--but I'm also trying to see exactly how many people are left solely on LJ. I'm thinking this LJ goes in the next year, but I want to lose touch with as few people as possible.

nods. I hear you. And that's a good and valid point to do the cull. There's so many folks on my friends list that appear to have abandoned LJ entirely -- they've not posted in a couple of years -- I don't even have a clue if they still read their LJ!
