[standing in front of the quest kiosk is one somewhat confused apprentice bishop. Yea, he was going to harass the GM but then decided to do something marginally more productive... Such as trying to send off a message on relic] This is so much more troublesome that just using zaiphon... [sigh]I suppose there's just no helping it, might as well ( Read more... )

[Here's Lotto wandering over, skimming through a book and occasionally muttering angrily under his breath, before glancing up, putting the book away and examining the kiosk.]

This looks like the right place...

[sidelong glance. He gives in to curiosity after a moment]

And the place you're looking for would be...?

The quest kiosk - not like that psycho GM's directions were much good, but seems like I managed to get here despite that.

[And now he's studying those words with mild interest.]

Are you a mage or something?

GM...?

[pause] I'm simply an apprentice under Bishop Castor. Or was. [a flick of his wrist and the zaiphon is gone]

[ Have a about-16 year old girl staring at you. ]

What are you doing?

[he stops and lets the zaiphon float in the air for a moment before smiling politely at the young girl]

It's zaiphon. Admittedly, it's not a very common ability but you must have seen it before, even at a distance. [with the costume change, he doesn't realize that there are such things as people from other worlds]

Zai... phon?

[ It sounds foreign to her -- no wonder, really. ]

No I haven't! What does it do?

You haven't? [the zaiphon he was using previously disappears with a quick and harmless snap]

Well... There are several types, but it's an ability granted to a few individuals by God. It's very handy and is the main form of combat back in Barsburg.

[because sometime during that very, very brief explanation, he had decided that this young girl was most likely a foreigner. Most likely]

[ Gauche is standing around idly, not quite sure what to do with himself. Roda's gone, as are his government uniform, his messenger bag, and any sense that he was still in Yodaka or even Yuusari, what with how the sky was lit up. What struck him strangest was the way everyone else was confused, too. His mind was already racing with the next move to make, when he heard the person standing close by mumble something, and he turns, not quite registering the spell yet. ]

Mm? Ah, of course. Any plan of action is a good plan of action. I don't suppose you know just where in Akatsuki this is...?

I will have to agree about a plan, though I can't say I recognize that name... [looks up] Did you also just arrive?

You don't recognize it? It's the capital of Amberground.

[ He's a bit shocked; there's only three districts, and Akatsuki is the brightest/richest, so of course everyone knew about it. ]

I suppose I did, yes. It's hard to believe people are being let into Akatsuki so easily. I've worked hard for years and finally gained access, but I still can't afford to bring my sister as well. Are you a noble?

I'm afraid I haven't heard of 'Amberground' or 'Akatsuki'. [which is odd, because Hakuren's pretty sure they would have heard about such a place if it was important]

I wonder if this place is anywhere near our homes...

[smile] I'm simply an apprentice bishop.
