Battle Control Online. Designating Primary Targets.

[You'll most likely find Decker on the outskirts of Mac Anu, tapping away at his Relic as he checks the closest areas. He's also muttering to himself, a slight frown on his face.]

[ahh, familiar military discipline -- well, at least some of the phraseology was familiar, even if "sector" sounded odd.]

[Kain's approach was less casual than usual, falling back into said discipline]

What are your plans for this objective? Could you use more men?

We shall manage --

[waiting until Decker's gotten himself situated and his own self ready for a dashing strike, Kain glances towards his hunting partner and gives the waited-for signal.]

[better to wait til the ranged combatant has fired before charging in. friendly fire isn't.]

[Decker, having lined up his shot, watches for the signal - and there it is. He fires, the round whizzing toward its target . . . and the sound of the shot getting the attention of all three creatures.]

Go!

[And Decker readies himself for another shot, sidestepping a little ways down the hillock as he lines up another one of the creatures.]

[Kain needs no further goading.]

[Blade flashing, he dives at one of the beasts still standing and dispatches it, leaving the other open for Decker's second shot --]

[A moment to make sure that Kain's well clear, and Decker looses his second shot. Down goes the third creature, and he descends the hillock to meet up with his hunting partner.]

Nice work.

[A quick glance around the area, just to make sure everything's quiet for the time being.]

We'd better do something about the bodies, though. Wouldn't want to spook any of the other hostiles in the area.

As was yours. You make a fine sniper.

For the corpses ... hmn. Our options may be limited, assuming that they even linger at all --

[Kain's musing is cut off abruptly as a second trio surges out of nowhere towards the hunters --]

[Decker sees 'em, all right.]

Contact!

[He spins to face the charging beasts, dropping to one knee and firing at one of them - but a second one knocks him over, before skidding to a stop a little ways away from them]

Ooof!

Damn --!

[we're not having that, thank you very much!]

[aborting a renewed lunge against the second wave of beasts, Kain throws himself between Decker and the creature preparing to do more than give the colonel a bad case of knockack with his sword held high and guarding.]

[there's a grunt of pain as the beast scores a hit -- but it savaged itself on the blade in the process.]
