[ there's a very lavishly-dressed, pink-haired woman wandering around the area near the chaos gate, looking quite distressed--very much like someone who just arrived and is completely oblivious as to how she came to be here. ]

[he had been sitting idle on one of the roofs of Mac Anu, mask sitting by his side as he took a moment to enjoy the fresh air when he heard her over the network. Everything after that had been nothing but a blur as he grabbed the mask, his Relic and proceeded to run to the Chaos Gate. On his way, he turns on the the voice function - can't type, need to find her - and starts speaking]

Euphie- [only to stop, when he realizes that she didn't know. She didn't know he had been calling himself 'Zero' since arriving here.

He makes a beeline for the Chaos Gate; talking to her face to face - there was so much to say! - would be better than something over the network... More than that though, he just wanted to see her again. Even if it's The World's idea of a joke. Thankfully, it doesn't take long for him to get to his destination]

[standing at the entrance to where the Gate was, Suzaku can only stare at the familiar person before him]

[ as she's pacing insistently, a very familiar voice calls out from her device. she clutches it in both hands suddenly and looks into it as though trying to glimpse suzaku's face. ]

Suzaku! [ when he doesn't respond, she tries again with another cry of his name. this time, though, she doesn't need his voice through the small speakers. this time, a small movement draws her gaze to the silhouette of her knight. her expression melts into relief as she runs toward him. ]

Oh, Suzaku, I'm so glad that you're here.

[it's his face, but he was wearing Zero's cape and holding the mask in his hand]

Euphie... [Or was holding the mask. The heavy item slips from slack fingers when he takes a few steps towards his Princess] You're here. You're okay.

[there's the relief finally breaking through the guilt and self-hate and he smiles]

[ fortunately or unfortunately, euphie hasn't quite grasped the "suzaku is wearing zero's clothes" concept yet, more glad to see him than anything. still, though, she's not that oblivious, and her smile fades slightly into confusion once she hears the mask drop and takes a step backward to survey him fully. ]
