Pope dies; Media loosens belt

Maybe you haven't heard (it's recieved so little coverage in the mainstream media), but the Pope died. In what appears to be a period of mourning, the media have taken a vacation from objectivity. I wish I would have made a slideshow of the progressive anguish of his holiness as shown day by day in the photos that ascended the ranks of my google news feed over the last month.

I thought it was equally ridiculous that we heaped praise on Reagan right in the middle of conflicts with regimes that he had put into power to fight the Godless Communists. I probably repeated this line plenty of times when it happened, but I just want to get that out there again.
