We should be thankful in our hearts these days have been kind with us. The horrifying experiences of last year curses are still fresh in the memories of some of us. From those deadly and cruel traps that make us choose between self-mutilation or death of a loved one and our own lives was scarring. Ah- There was no respite for us after its ( Read more... )

I hope our month isn't nearly as bad this year. I don't think Rosette and I can handle it after everything else.

I pray for it, I share your hopes. Dear, may I ask you something? Is that man Jenai always so rude and angry?

I have heard of the darkness lying beneath the City's beauty, but the horrors you describe are simply unimaginable.

Unfortunately, the horrors we're exposed to are never-ending. But there are good things to balance them.

There are indeed. Some things are even worth the suffering.

We must suffer to know what relief is like.

The deities must have been punishing them....

Punishing them? Whatever makes you think this is about a sin or a crime they committed, dear?

Because the city is a curse. Everyone here is cursed. It's why they were brought here. God is punishing us... just like Oyashiro-sama has cursed Rena again.

Ah, I see, but I assure you this is no curse. We are in unfortunate and fortunate circumstances that are both kind and cruel.

How fortunate that you must be a self-reliant man who wouldn't ask favors from people.

Perhaps is a good idea you clear your doubts about my statement with Aion, Jenai.

I didn't know you were so... 'religious', Lilith... Heh...

And from what it seems, Rena seems to understand the situation most well...

Ah, you don't know a lot about me because we just met, Aion. One of the reasons I stay in the Cathedral is because it gives me spiritual peace.

That poor girl needs help and emotional support. She doesn't know what she's saying.

(ooc: LOLOL. *g* Thanks).

Spiritual peace, hmph... Call it whatever you wish.

I think she knows exactly what she's saying... she's seeing through the facade mask and beyond the lies... In fact, she is being helped by allowing herself to come to that realization... In order to fix a problem... you have to do it yourself...

Just why is it that this City is causing such suffering... I'm certain as a doctor, you could understand that logic...

We already have this conversation earlier, didn't we? To compare people to cancer or anything pathologically removed by a medic is an oversimplization. You can try that logic with a child, but an adult would see the wold with many layers.

The poor dear is in a state of paranoia after a trauma and encouraging her to keep her delusion isn't healthy. I, as doctor, know that.
