Excuse me, but I may have failed to get my meaning across. The barriers erected in front and around the hospital have acid inside of them, for when the invaders try to break through. The Alchemy will not ACTIVATE until I give Alphonse the ok and our people are safe.

Well, before editing mine, I believe you should edit yours. You said in your message you said that the walls of the Hospital were coated with sulfuric acid.

Nonetheless, I will not have something so dangerous and unpredictable until the magic warfare offers an alternative. This chaos could be easily taken advantage by the invaders, forcing the barricade fire to spread within our perimeter, having us fled to their arms.

From my understanding, their is no downside to this plan. The acid explodes outwards and then dissipates when water -- which I will be supplying -- is added to it. Unless the invaders can somehow wield magic or control the laws of physics, there is nothing that they can do to stop or control the acid once they release it from the front part of the walls.
