A while back, I posted something about how Corwin would say to me "I don't love you, Daddy". Well, by now he's mostly grown out of that sort of emotional blackmail. Now, it's Kjersti's turn.

This made me wonder how I would respond to this.

I like to think I'd say something along the lines of, "That's fine. You don't have to love anybody you don't want to, and nobody can make you. But, just so you know, I love you even when you don't love me."

Your reply is in essence, my attitude toward this sort of thing from my kids. I usually don't say that, for a number of reasons.
