I like to think I'd say something along the lines of, "That's fine. You don't have to love anybody you don't want to, and nobody can make you. But, just so you know, I love you even when you don't love me."

Your reply is in essence, my attitude toward this sort of thing from my kids. I usually don't say that, for a number of reasons.
