Wow! This is lovely and layered and haunting at the same time. I love the way you develop the parallels between the Labyrinth and Theseus, their most powerful one being the role as mirrors for Ariadne's own darkness. Really a strong piece.

Thanks so much :) the motif of labyrinths have always interested me, and this story is perfect for playing with it.

That was beautiful, sad, and distant. I loved the intelligence about Ariadne, how she tried to understad the darkness of the Labrynth, Thesues, and eventually herself, no matter how painful or scarily wonderful it was. There's a lovely feeling of resignation at the end, where she knows she's dying inside and can't be moved to change it.

Hey :) I am still in England, got back about a month ago. Classes are going well as it's the beginning of the semester but I'm a little worried of the last one since I haven't gotten all my grades back yet. My grandfather just died, so there's family troubles, but we're all really close and we've been expecting it for awhile. I'm flying back to the States soon because of it. He was such a lovely man, but I'm glad he can really rest now.

Other than that I'm planning a trip to Europe in 2 months with one of my best friends and trying to keep up with fandom in the meantime, it keeps me happy.

How're you? Hope everything's well.

Oh, I'm so sorry about your grandfather :( It must be hard to have been away from him and your family if you were close. My condolences, I know what it's like...

I'm glad that everything else is going well, though. So you guys have started the new semester without knowing if you passed the previous one? Strange system, heh. I hope everything'll be fine.

If you need any recs on where to go in Europe, you know where to find me! ;)

And everything's great with me. I've had a wonderful year already; I've just been really happy, writing a lot, having lots of great times with friends and myself. Now I'm working on my thesis on homosexuality in African literature and, well, I just really love it (even if it makes me miss Africa so much more). And getting back into fandom has really been good to me! I hadn't realised how much I missed it.
