What is your favorite television show and why?

And don't give me any of that "TV is mindless crap" BS. Well duh, like livejournal is any better. I personally enjoy an assortment of shit on Discovery Health...and of course, Drawn Together. New season starts Thursdays ^-^

The Young Ones! Old series from the 80's I love toilet humour,

if you want something more current, I LOVE Mythbusters. Probibly because I am facinated with science and urban legends.

Oh, dear. I'll try not to give you the "TV is mindless crap" BS. I've made a personal decision to not watch television because I've never found myself happier that I watched a television show than I would have been had I done something more traditionally productive or stimulating. I like to think that livejournal is just this much less ... erm ... un-mindless because it involves a sense of interaction that the television does not. True, perhaps certain news or science shows are informative, but it's far more passive than, say, selecting articles to read and compare and such.

That said, I liked shows like South Park back in the day.
