My Sherlock Holmes Shrine
Alright, so i'm officially obsessed beyond reason and devoted a good deal of wall space to said obsession. This is my room in my parent's house (as i dorm while at university and have the side of the room that has a window rather than blank wall although i do currently have the Sherlock Holmes 7-11 Go-go taquitos poster draped on my dresser, the humorous story on how i acquired it related in this post: community.livejournal.com/holmeswatson09/31697.html).
As you can see i have a 40x27 movie poster, the EW magazine cover with three of my ticket stubs from my viewings of the movie, that rique Esquire RDJ mag cover with my extra Dec25 ticket stub, and the EW Sherlock Holmes spread. It's set around my closet, where i tore off the sliding doors to make room for a computer desk.
AND YES, those are legos you see. If your parents made you earn everything the way mine did when i was a kid you wouldn't get rid of an accumaltive $100+ lego set that took you seven first place trophies, straight A's, and five karate tournaments to get either. I also have problems with drastic environmental changes and am victim to inherent laziness. When it comes to interior decorating i start and stop with the spartan essentials (bed, desk, bureau), book shelves, and photo collages.

I have a similar shrine on another part of the room for my Star Trek fan-ness. It includes the EW mag cover of Zachary Quinto with ticket stubs from the midnight premiere (in reality we went at 7:00 due to AP testing), a NCC-1701 1966-1997 poster from the last Star Trek hotel las Vegas convention, and a classic toy tricorder i have mounted on its box.
But yeah, i also plan to frame up all my losing CAlottery Sherlock Holmes scratchers once the main competition is over. I have a little over a dozen (not an actually overlarge expense since i've balanced my buying with my winnings. i'm oddly lucky with scratchers). So, that's that. I'm obsessed and i revel to waking up to RDJ and Jude Law in the morning (except now i have to return to my dreary dorm and stare at overly phallic taquitos all day *sigh*).
