I love that the case turns out to be Sherlock oh-so-laboriously working out the identity of X! And that the evening begins in one kind of gambling and ends in another.

Guest violins in a hotel would be awesome -- well, if the guests were decent violinists, anyway.

And the joke of Sherlock planning how he's not going to see his parents for Christmas (except that of course he is): *snicker*

Thank you, dear Mystery Writer, for this delightful and warmhearted story!

A lovely slow-burn romance, and a little Casablanca thrown in for good measure.

This was such a delightful story! I loved the Christmassy mood you created through the shared ramble through the open air mart, and Sherlock's wonderful flip flopping over the identity of John's mysterious X! (I also adored the quiet humor you placed into his thought processes, such as his switch to "Y" for John's future partner once he'd identified himself as "X"!) I liked that his love for John was so obvious to him that he treated it almost dismissively even while he struggled to come to terms with his own feelings about sex. And then in the end he discovered himself to be that volcano of passion we all know he could be if he ever let himself go! Wonderful <3 <3 This story lifted my mood effortlessly, thank you so much for this ray of sunshine!
