This was absolutely charming! I love the humor and warmth that comes through in Mrs. Hudson's character here. It's a wonderful premise... although I wonder if she doesn't also have somewhat racier excerpts published under a nom de plume somewhere? ;)
LOL! I'm certain Holmes knows if she does, and secretly reads them to Watson at night, when it's just the two of them, snuggled in bed, giggling like school boys...
Oh, I like how affectionately obedient they are: she tells them to shoo, and they shoo. They might push her patience, but they never out-and-out cross her. And all the little signs of affection between them -- the touches, the kiss on the cheek -- are a delight.
Although I might have to disagree with Mrs. Hudson on one point: a bit of decorative seaweed can really set off a man's figure.
An excellent look from a different viewpoint at the goings-on at 221 Baker Street! I am voting with those who love the idea that there is another chronicler in the house, although she is being kind and giving Dr Watson some lines!
I imagine she sees them as her boys, so even though they try her patience, she loves them all the same. Still, I bet she can only take so much before she tears into them, so they've learned when to push and when to run!

And the boys know where their meals are coming from. They're not going to interfere with that!
