This is marvellous!! I literally marvel at the depth and beauty of the world building and backstory. Amazing work, and I'm glad to have read it before seeing the episodes with these characters.

OMG this is a beautiful story - a fabulous backstory for Tennyson! He's a fully-realized person who isn't defined by his disability and demands respect from everyone he meets - even his hero. Marvellous job.

All right, back at actual keyboard (if severely underslept), but I cannot nap until I have given this story its due.

It really is a spectacular piece -- all manner of detail pulled deftly from canon, and all manner of purest speculation extrapolated from canon that nonetheless feels wholly and indisputably right. The resonances between Tennyson and his mum based on their different yet complementary conditions are elegantly illustrated, and we also see the differences (and similarities) between Tennyson's online friends and his live ones as they become true Irregulars. His relationship with his mothers is entirely realistic and nicely nuanced ( ... )

Even without knowing the canon, except for bits I've gleaned from other fanfic, I loved this story. Meeting Tennyson and learning how he came to create his language, meet Wiggins and Deidre and Holmes and Watson was wonderful. This is a great trio of Irregulars.
