Hello anon author. I wanted to let you know that I had to give up reading the fic. The reason for this is what I feared and told you in my comment on the previous part. I know absolutely nothing about the Marvel universe and in order to understand and appreciate the fic a lot of that background is needed. So I offer you my sincere apologies but I had to give up reading as I couldn't make head or tails of everything that ensued once Molly, Sherlock and Mary ended up in America.
Well, if you ever get into Marvel and want to try again (and don't want to have to hunt through LJ for this) It's up at AO3 here. Thank you for trying, though!
So many meetings in this, each weighted with its own significance. I think I was most moved by Molly's visit to see Peggy at the nursing home, and her regrets over the way that, in leaving SHIELD behind, she had wound up leaving so much of her family behind as well. Very poignant. I also like the comradeship and long history you've created between Molly and Natasha. They have a nice rapport. It will be interesting to see Molly on a mission of vengeance, though I'm glad to see that even in the heat of her grief she remains committed to justice rather than murder.
Thank you! I definitely was glad to see each of those meeting left an impression like that, as I had hoped they would. And I'm glad you enjoyed them so much.
I had hoped to finish reading this before reveals tomorrow morning, but I simply must go to bed. But before I do, I wanted to stop in and say that I'm enjoying spy!Molly, so good at who and what she is that not even Sherlock caught a hint of it! (I loved Sherlock avidly reading Molly's leaked files, scarce willing to lift his eyes from the page, offering commentary as he went.) Also, how much I like that she's really, really not willing to cross the line of killing (and is good enough that she mostly doesn't need to).
Thank you for sharing this; I'm looking forward to reading the rest!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you had stayed up so much to try and finish it; I take that as a huge compliment! And yes, I had enjoyed that bit with Sherlock myself, to be honest. I'm glad you liked it as well.
