Title: A Christmas Indulgence Author: deepforestowl Recipient: fabelschwester Rating: G Pairing: Holmes/Watson Summary: Holmes indulges in his Christmas present to himself
How lovely and poignant. It is always interesting to hear Holmes' perspective, and for this Holmes to be so true to character whilst showing his private affection and love for his Boswell is just wonderful!
I liked it all but this particularly struck me:
It wasn't fair that Holmes felt as fit as a fiddle and ready as always to spring into action while his dearest was dragged down by something as insignificant as aging and as unknowable as grief.
Which is very moving and sad, yet you managed to keep it warming and uplifting.

... Well, I guess I am warm and mushy inside, aren't I?
