I love the way you blended the two canons. This was a very sweet story. Nice mystery!

Thanks a lot for your sweet comment. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the story and the way I wove the two different verses into each other.

I'm so glad I found this, it was so much fun to read! I second what someone else said about wanting to find and watch this film now.

I was giggling out loud almost from the start: As it turns out, the skull is decidedly useless in this particular case, for Sherlock is in desperate need of advice. Right this instant. It can’t possibly wait till morning. It being the following catastrophe: Molly is very cross at him. Reluctantly, the detective admits that this might partly be his fault. All right, completely. So what is he to do about it? And I can't tell you how much I love this: It’s like Sherlock’s following the dating tips in My Weekly and giving them a highly individualised interpretation. And the image of Sherlock breaking the bread into crumbs while lecturing John on feeding the ducks is too funny and precious to bear ( ... )

Darling, you're always the most amazing cheerleader there is - thank you so, so much! I'm glad I made you giggle a couple of times, because it was meant to be a fun, fluffy piece, but as you very well know, when I'm writing I still doubt all the time whether I can actually do humour. Usually, I'm convinced that I can't.
By the way, it's awfully kind of you to not scold me for the impossible past-present which still comes across as rather awkward. :) The sense of immediacy which you've highlighted was the most important thing to me, so I forewent grammatical logic and smoothness of transition. But your excellent suggestions helped make it a bit smoother at least than it originally was.
Thanks again for all your support!
Have a Happy New Year! xx
