Well wow. Somehow I did not expect that. So super intelligent, especially Sherlock's voice, with the rapid-fire, high-vocabulary imperiousness. I like how you portrayed Lestrade's marriage and how it kind of just ends as friends, and the cops on the Force are quite vivid. I'd like to see more of this 'verse--want to see Lestrade get it together!

Great read.

Thank you for that. It wasn't the pairing I had expected but it was hot all the same. I can also get behind the fact that it was his first time with a man so the virgin sex works for me.

I also like the fact the Greg's wife didn't cheat on him but they just fell out of love. I think this fitted in to the story better.

I'm not sure if that's what I wanted when I signed up for this but I am certainly totally blissed out with what I got.

Just love this. You deal with some very serious subjects in a way that's lighthearted but not irreverent. I love Di, I love your Greg, I love the age difference between him and Sherlock =) Happy Holmestice indeed!

I generally don't read this pairing, but after giving this one a go, I'm beginning to wonder why. This was fantastic! Loved the look into Lestrade's psyche, how wonderful his wife was, and the way his "midlife crisis" was handled. Fabulous stuff!

Thank you so, so much for writing this! I love, love, love Sherlock/Lestrade and this is just fabulous. Your Greg is so wonderufl - his voice, his self-awareness (a perfect balance between being thoughtful but not too articulate), the multiple and well-defined facts you give him are all awesome. I love the different relationships he has to his marriage, his work, and that weird in-between thing with Sherlock; I could read about your Greg reading the phonebook, really. You've really just got him down. Love.

The humor of this piece is awesome, too, of course - the way you write Dimmock and Sally makes me long for more Yarder fic. Sherlock is darkly hilarious, the murders are adorable (as far as murders go), and the whole thing is light and clever while at the same time quite poignant. I adore this, and I want to find out who you are so I can read more. :D
