"Holmes leaves the house after examining a body in Watson's office, leaving his pistol behind. Watson sees the gun and says "He's left it behind on purpose." We then see a reaction shot of Holmes's bulldog, Gladstone, who is clearly in Holmes's library/laboratory room."

lol, teleporting Gladstone.

Actually in interviews both the producers and Ritchie have said
the only other actor seriously considered for Watson was Russell
Crowe (see "Script" interview and, I believe "Entertainment
Weekly").

I hate to be a bit nitpicky on this, but there is a difference in the ways that Americans hold cutlery to the way Europeans do ( ... )

I'm Icelandic and when I eat, I turn the fork down when cutting the whatever I'm eating and then "turn" it upwards to put it in my mouth.

I have no idea how to explain it though. It is at least not like Ducky did it in the movie. I found his way rather odd :P

I guess I do hold the fork like pen though...

He holds the fork vertically between thumb and index finger, American-style.

Someone enlighten me, how do the British hold their forks?!

I actually think this is just bullshit... I mean, do every American hold their fork like that?

I'm European, and Ihold the fork like I hold a spoon. Well, I hold the fork just like he did in the movie, when cutting, but I turn it in my hand before putting it in my mouth.

oh i'm not saying all do or all don't, i was just trying to say there is a difference

but i don't even know how i hold my fork and knife to be honest...i get this feeling it would only be something you knew if you, well were conscious of it for some reason

didn't mean to sound preachy.

Oh you're not at all :D

I had no idea there were different ways of eating.. well, not documented or researeched at least :D

I know at least, I find it odd when people change hands when eating. That is, use the knife in the right hand and fork in left while cutting and then put the knife down and eat with the fork in right. :P
