Hmmm, i'd have to say overall, The Deadly Fight (the Russian adaption of the final problem). When Holmes reveals himself to Watson he cries and they HUG. Watson's grief was also very sweet.
In The Master Black-Mailer they hold hands and in The Hound of the Baskervilles they have an enthusiastic hug outside Holmes' hut. In Bloody Inscription (A Study in Scarlet adaption), Holmes kind of cuddles Watson in a cab, letting Watson's head rest against his shoulder and stroking his head all comfortingly.
Technically these aren't slashy. It's more about the culture itself. Russian men often kiss each other on the cheeks (like French biser/BEES kisses) as a form of jovial greeting. Hand holding between men is also considered as a significant sign of trust and if often done much like the way English or American men will put a comforting hand on each other's shoulders
( ... )
The Devil's Foot is basically as slashy as canon, but with the added bonus of Holmes calling out "John" instead of "Watson" (I am happy with small things, okay?).
Otherwise I like The Man with the Twisted Lip for the scene in which Holmes watches Watson sleep all night and then tickles his foot to wake him.
Also, The Empty House in which Watson faints, Holmes lovingly caresses his face, and then Watson says Holmes can sleep in his bed. :D
I of course don't remember the episode (perhaps it will come to me later today when I've woken up a bit) - but there is this one scene that sometimes, quite literally, plays in my minds TV (hee). It's a close up of Homes' face and his desperation and affection is apparent (at least I'd like to think so) when he exclaims: "I'd be lost without my Bosewell" - OH MAN the look on his face. It's just delish.
He's all depressed because all the evidence seems to point against his client and Lestrade's being all superior, but Watson's all, "I believe in you, Holmes. Here, drink some tea, old fellow."
Ah thank you! That scene just makes me all warm and fuzzy.
I think it's about time I watch the series again and perhaps I should give the Russian Holmes a chance as well.
Oh and then there is Naval Treaty. I absolutely detected gayness all'round in that one. How very fem is Percy? How very kind and tentative is Watson (perhaps like one would be to an old lover)? And just how jealous is Holmes? - I may be reading to much into the whole thing, but hey, it's much much more fun that way. ;)
Granada series... is a particular brand of slashy that's rather odd. It's hard to pinpoint an OMGSQUEEE moment because they're all OMGSQUEEE moments. Granada is basically "take the Sherlock Holmes series, take out anything standing in the way of Holmes and Watson getting together, but never specify that they are together." Thuis, the slashiest moments for me are the ones where canonically Watson was married. Blue Carbuncle comes particularly to mind.
I can't believe you guys didn't mention The Abbey Grange! I watched it the other night and it is full of Meaningful Looks, and there is a point in which Holmes full on leans on Watson. Ho yay!
