I really love this verse. The problem is that with after H & W establish a m/m relationship, it always takes time for H to become more adept at expressing his emotions. Without the problems of being homosexual, you can imagine that their relationship would begin much more easily, and thus progress when they were both younger than I can ever imagine it doing with their canon characters.

Watson is such an endearing character here (and it's a really cute name for a woman).
They are practically married anyway, so real marriage is no stretch of the imagination.
