New laptop

So I've got a new laptop. Only problem is that the keyboard is set up very differently from every laptop I have ever had before, and the touch pad is VERY different from any laptop I've ever had before as well. That all will take some getting used to, of course, but I'm getting there (as shown by the fact that I am posting this from said new laptop ( Read more... )

It has a scent?

My new laptop is a HP Pavilion g4, with a 14" diagonal screen. Very slim and light-weight, travels very well. My mom is absolutely paranoid about having enough padding for her new laptop (same model as mine)--not that I really can blame her for that, considering her last laptop's screen was destroyed when a plane we were flying in went thru some turbulence and flexed the laptop around its battery charger just enough to break the screen.

Yay! It will have Windows 7.
It's just a Dell Inspiron 15R Black Friday special. But I'm poor so it's all I could justify but it will beat the eight year old desktop I'm currently chained to!

Anything would be better than that...especially since it's that old (not that I can really talk all that much, my old laptop was about eight years old).
