Your 'Alex is loopy' theory is interesting, but I'm just not sure. After the endless theories about LoM, it turned out he really was just lying in hospital, and all the obvious pointers...were just obvious pointers. So far we've had Alex getting cold, the water dripping on her - other stuff that I've forgotten - which do suggest she got shot and is lying there under the docks dying and getting cold and wet. Unless the writers realised they were totally obvious with LoM and decided to put in a massive twist...which is always possible.

The Dad is quite possibly A Bad Man, and I'm convinced he'll be turning up in ep8. Just like Vic Tyler, only possibly with a little more exploding going on. Evan's shifty too. Otherwise, I have no concrete ideas as to how it will work out.

I think the main difference with what went on in LoM and what's happening now on A2A is that there really wasn't any ambiguity on what the hell was happening to Sam post-I dunno- episode 1? He's in a coma. We get it. So because A2A is a spin-off, I believe they rectified this, I wanna say, mistake. If you look at Alex's attitude throughout the show, I mean she's SO SURE she knows exactly what's happening to her that she most certainly has no clue. Plus it would be pretty much the same plot if she was shot and he was in a coma. I don't believe they'd do the same plot twice, not when they have a chance to make it SO DIFFERENT. ;)

Yup. It's most likely now that Evan wasn't involved at all but it was all the Dad. That's a pretty great parallel between Alex and Sam then.

I completely agree with you as well. IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE FOR THEM TO MAKE THE SAME SHOW TWICE! Plus Alex's attitude about the whole thing, like you mentioned, is just way off. She's SO SURE she knows everything when in truth she knows nothing.

It is all confirmed for me by the writers saying that Alex situation is different from Sam's. Kudos/the Beeb & co. would ensure that A2A is more complex rather then 'she's shot..oh she's in 1981' because it is BORING...it's not new and exciting...it's been done before.

I'm so totally in love with the Molly-is-shot theory that I think I'm actually going to be quite disappointed if it's not true! Hopefully it'll be something just as interesting if not...

I think we've seen SO MUCH evidence so far that it has to be true. Otherwise this show is made of fail and I KNOW this show is made of win. I'm too obsessed with it for it to be made of fail, lol. :P
