You can have as many as you want, man.
Especially cuz you're the only one asking at the moment. ;)

Oo.. can I ask about the Tabula Rasa one as well??

How did you do the beginning sequence? Did you use still frames? And can I ask what effects (that sort of grainy) you placed over the clips?

Haha. Sure thing. :)

Ok, well the beginning effects were all screencaps I made and then colored in Photoshop using a filter that gave it a washed out feel. I adjusted the filter to make it more grainy and bright so that the blacks became richer. It became like a WWII chic look. ;)

After that I imported all the caps into Vegas and started putting them on the timeline according to my outline. For this vid it was imperative that everything was perfectly planned out just because I didn't want to be in the middle of it regretting having spent time making the caps only not to use some from whatever scene, etc.

And as I mentioned in the comment above, the jerky look of the stills is inspired by several experimental videos in the SGA fandom. If I ever actually write the meta on this vid I would link to them. But I bet you know them anyway. ;)

Does that give you a better idea? :)

Thanks for the explanation! I love the effects over the caps a lot, gives those scenes a very interesting look and feel!

Can I ask what made you want to make a vid with a sequence of caps like that? Okay that was a stupid way to ask it! But it was just so different to any vids I had seen before and it's really beautiful, it really emphasised(?) the emotions of the characters.

Thank you! I'm very pleased with it myself. ;)

Sure. It was actually a response to the song. I tend to match styles to the feel of the song, and this one was very jerky and linear in that effect. So I needed something that would show it off. And I wanted to get a little experimental so I thought about vids such as The Tree by newkidfan and Us by lim. The only trouble is, I don't have the software they use to make theirs, so this was me trying to be creative and get that sort of effect without After Effects and Illustrator. ;)

Okay, here's a simple one. What the frak is being said in the dialogue at the end of "Prelude to War"? Huh? Inquiring minds want to know.

And btw, Starbuck, you gotta turn your hip over to get more power when you kick that bag...

Bwahaha! Ok, that is indeed easy. And whatever you think is being sad is probably way better than what is actually being said. :P

Ten: Regenerate!
Master: Will it stop?

And btw, Starbuck, you gotta turn your hip over to get more power when you kick that bag...
Oh no you din't...She gonna getcha. ;)
