Loved the Vanessa/Dan BFF-ness, and the fact that they were drinking while Dan told his story. Because, really, you just *can't* be sober for something like that lol.

Love that Vanessa has so much faith in Dan, knows he wouldn't have done it anyways, and *love* that Dan has found some kind of peace in himself.

Chuck and Bart sorta kinda father and son bonding! *Flails* Chuck was total yayness to me this chapter lol.

So, looking forward to more!

Anyways, another great installment! Bart totally just gave Dan the seal of approval from a parent-in-law. lol. That is just so super sweet! I was grinning throughout that whole scene.

P.S. Did you hear that Bart is returning to GG?

Yep, one more chapter at least for a while. But if i write a sequel, it'd be just this part ending and then continuing later with Chuck and Dan as a couple... and of course that would involve Dan actually bringing Chuck home to really meet Rufus... and also dealing with Jenny, and then later Bart Bass... now that Dan's dug up his skeleton he'll end up having to be the one to help bury it.

hehe yeah, Bart gives Dan the seal of approval... i dunno if i'd be pushing it with that one but i'm glad you think it works. I was actually gonna have a minor deleted scene where Bart asks Dan to keep coming to his company and act as a spy for him against other employees, but i dunno.

Exactly, I just love the way you've gotten here, this is one of the most disturbing and darkly sensual fics I've read and it's true to who they both are.

“Because...” Dan started, and his smile shifted into a teasing smirk. It matched perfectly with the mischievous glint in his eyes when he leaned closer to Chuck, the heat of his body caressing him even with the barrier of clothing and air between them. Chuck held his body completely still as Dan’s breath touched his neck, kept his expression as still as possible as Dan whispered his answer.

“I’m Dan Humphrey.”

This is what I'm talking about! This was just that moment in which you cannot deny the strange and illogical truth. Because he's Dan Humphrey. That was freaking brilliant!

Chuck's an ass for not admiting his love for Dan. He is and he should have a meeting with Vanessa so she can kick him. This is one of those stories that keeps you reading simply because it's so damn good and it definitely keeps you at the edge of your seat. I think this chapter came out brilliantly. I was half worried Dan would destroy the whole Bass family and what then?

Hi again Vamps :) Thanks for the lovely review. I'm glad you like that part, though I didn't think it was so much that illogical, rather that phrase "Because I'm Dan Humphrey" goes back to what he came to realise with Vanessa. That HE'S the only one who can decide who he is, no matter what anyone does to him. And that it was actually him who agreed to be with Chuck in the first place. And Dan's decided that being Dan Humphrey intails not hurting the people he (loves) cares about, no matter what

I like how Dan doesn't really actually give what they are a name yet. It's really cool. I have to admit, I don't actually feel sorry for Chuck meeting with Nate and Serena. I was wondering if Blair even knew about Chuck and Dan?

Yes well, I think even I can't really give a name to what they have right now. I don't think anyone can... maybe what they feel for each other can be somewhat defined but their ship is just...

As for Blair, i was gonna have a scene with her confronting Dan but somehow i couldn't make that work so i cut it out... I kinda don't know what to do when it comes to Blair at this point.
