Fanfic: Memory Absolution

Ever since I saw the preview for the January 6 episode of Grey's Anatomy and read some speculation on other future episodes, I've had this vision.  Mere posted a fanfic that had a similar scene.  I loved that fic and tried to make it satisfy this vision of mine but my own personal muse just wouldn't shut up.  Also, I'm not stealing any ideas from

LOL I have no doubt that it won't happen on the show. But I just had such a vision of Lexie blurting out a proposal to Mark at the hospital in front of a lot of people. It was just so vivid to me and it wouldn't go away so I had to write it down. And you know, once you write it down you might as well post it.

The first thing I do when I get home is get onto LJ to check out my page and to check out my flist and I was just so happy to see this! And good god, Holly, I hope you have some kind of special power that sees into the future because this happening would be amazing. Although I doubt it will happen, I can still dream and read this over and over again! Honestly, I really just need Lexie to talk with Mark about things because yes, she stayed and sent Jackson away and kissed him first the second time, but I need her to say SOMETHING to Mark about how she's feeling. Thank you so much for writing this! I always love when you decide to write something! :D It's always wonderful!

Mark has put his heart on the line over and over, it's time for her to do so too. I really had such a strong vision of her doing that in front of people. i just had to write it. And with the current setup we know about, I wouldn't rule out a proposal for the show, at all. (Even though I suspect there will be some more confusion to get through, at first.)

Thanks for reading and commenting Violet. I wouldn't mind an engagement between the two. I doubt we get to actually see them talking through or dealing with some of their problems, but that might happen offscreen. So I can see them going right to an engagement. But I really want to see the commmitment from Lexie. We already know that Mark is committed to her, through good and bad. I want to see the same from her now. So I would like for her to either propose to him, or have it shown some other way of her love and commitment. The last thing I want is for there to be an engagement and then have her regret it the next morning. I want her excited about it and their future.

Anyway, I'm just thinking outloud here. Thanks again for reading and commenting.

I just got a chance to read this! Soooo sweet! I kind of wish that Grey's the other night had actually gone this way :) I'm so glad you wrote this...I especially loved the part where Lexie demands that Mark marry her...I can actually see her doing that to him!

Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoy it. I wish I had the ability to write more but it is extremely hard for me to sit down and write as I don't have the patience. I have some what I think are great ideas, but no real talent to put it on paper. Once in awhile I'm able to con someone into writing my ideas. LOL
