My day always starts the same way. I stumble out of bed, dress in the dark, and try to contain yip and yap as we fall out of the house onto the porch. These days it's still dark when we begin our walk at 5 AM. I agree totally! I LOVE the early morning stillness.
Took Lily for a walk this early morning also....Not as exciting as a country walk and the adventure of raccoons.....

Possibilities! If we took the time to pay attention there are so many adventures awaiting us! And now when I consider possibilities, I'll remember Gypsy and Jake....taking time to smell the dragons!

What a wonderful gift for your dogs your daily walks are! I can't walk mine easily any more, they drag me off my feet. Jim has to go and take Clara, I take Ruby, and even she is strong.

On one of my bike ride routes I take a dirt path along a creek. The path is three streets long and runs into a large park where the stream joins Huck Finn Pond (which I jumped into in March one year to raise $$ for Special Olympics). There is a culvert(?), big steel pipe that come from the town side through the hill next to the stream, I guess for water run off. One twilight I was riding along the path when I saw four large raccoon heads, sticking out of the pipe, watching me. When I came back along the path on my ride home, they were gone.
