Sunday feels like a day to settle in

Our bathroom is the same way, with the streaks of nicotine sliding their way down the walls when we take a shower. We only have paint, though, so I'm not sure if this is a benefit as opposed to wallpaper or a disadvantage, because there's the offhand chance it might never come off all the way and we'll end up having to paint over it. Either way, it's still gross knowing that the people who lived here before never took the time to clean. Eeeww. :\

It's definitely a benefit to not have wallpaper :-)

I would clean your walls with a vinegar and water solution (dip a sponge in the solution), let them dry completely for a few days, and then determine if it's necessary to re-paint. You may not have to if you use something like vinegar.

The wallpaper in our bath is so ugly that it has to go, anyway. The nicotine stains are enticing me to get to this project quicker. Heh.
