I hated history in school because they never told us what Christopher Columbus really did, or anything beyond Kennedy's "karma" or the ridiculous emphasis on remembering specific times and dates for tests, instead of a more developed image and knowledge of what was during that date.

They also just need to stop having wrestling coaches with necks thicker than their faces teach history class.

but I agree with the importance of it.

funny thing is, in high school they would teach american history...not australian...how fuckn stupid is that? school is useless for teaching history, one has to do their own research.

world almanacs were my guidebooks back when. learned about worldly devastating things no one ever mentioned. I should track more of those down..
